The Sharewear Program

Service & Support: Shareware Clothing Program

Providing quality, seasonal clothing and essential items to our neighbours in Waterloo.

Program Hours & Access

Sharewear is available four afternoons a week, operating alongside the Bridgeport Café. We welcome anyone in need of clothing to visit during these hours. No appointment is necessary; simply drop in and speak with one of our volunteers.

Essential Clothing for All Seasons

We maintain a rotating inventory of clean, high-quality clothing for men and women. Our focus is on practical, everyday items, including:
Seasonal Outerwear: Coats, jackets, and boots.
Daily Essentials: Shirts, pants, and sweaters.
Footwear: Sturdy shoes and socks.
Warmth Layers: Hats, gloves, and scarves during colder months.

Dignity-First Shopping

We believe that everyone deserves to dress with dignity. Our Shareware space is organized to allow you to browse at your own pace. Our volunteers are available to help you find specific sizes or items in a friendly, non-judgmental environment.

Beyond Clothing

While our main focus is on apparel, we occasionally receive donations of small household items—such as kitchenware, linens, and small appliances. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis during our regular Shareware hours.

Donations & Community Support

Shareware is a community-funded resource. We accept donations of gently used, clean clothing that is appropriate for the current season. By sharing what we have, we ensure that every member of our community has access to the essentials they need to stay warm and comfortable.

Location & Directions

Shareware is located at 22 Bridgeport Road West, within the Waterloo Wayside Centre at Emmanuel United Church. You can find us at the corner of Bridgeport Road and Albert Street in Uptown Waterloo. We are easily accessible via local GRT bus routes and the ION light rail.
